Canadian Senate praises Burna Boy for selling out The Bell Centre twice

The Canadian Senate has officially commended Nigerian Afrobeat star, Burna Boy for his exceptional achievements and significant impact in Canada. 

This recognition follows Burna Boy’s dynamicperformances at The Bell Centre in Montreal, where he captivated audiences and sold out the 35,000-seat venue on two separate occasions.

Marcel Lebleu, Director General of the West and Central Africa Bureau on Thursday, April 18, 2024, highlighted Burna Boy‘s remarkable success during his visits to Montreal. Lebleu emphasized the artist’s ability to enthrall audiences with his performances, noting the substantial crowds that attended his concerts.

In addition to praising Burna Boy’s accomplishments, Lebleu also raised concerns about the lack of sufficient attention given to the cultural and Nollywood industries in Canada.
